SURGICAL COORDINATOR
Christina Kartas is our surgical coordinator and billing expert. She has an associates degree with a certification in Health Care Reimbursement from Virginia College, and extensive experience with medical office administration and billing. Christina has been in the medical field for over 30 years, and has worked in plastic surgery in particular for decades. Her expertise and problem-solving skills are invaluable to a smooth patient experience, and she is an essential member of the team. “My passion is helping my patients feel as though their needs and wants are fulfilled on a personal and professional level!”
OFFICE MANAGER
Jamie Ballew was born and raised in New York City. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Jamie has a special ability to communicate effectively and relate to all of our patients. While her background is in medical billing and coding, she has over two decades of experience in management. In the last ten years, Jamie has specialized in medical and surgical practice management, and she has been working with Dr. Sophie for most of that time. Jamie effectively handles all of the inner and outer workings of our multiple offices, and she always goes the extra mile for our patients. By the time you have finished your surgical journey with us, you will know her as a guide, a friend, and a wonderful moral support.
ANESTHESIA TEAM
Our AAAASF certified private operating suite is staffed with the most highly skilled healthcare professionals. Caliber Anesthesia provides all of our anesthesia services, representing only Board Certified Anesthesiologists with a particular expertise in outpatient elective surgery. Most of our procedures are performed under general anesthesia, but what most patients do not realize is that this can mean many different things. For example, many cases do not require intubation or paralysis, meaning that there are far fewer medications used, and a much quicker and easier recovery from the anesthesia itself, with no compromise in comfort or safety. Our team has refined the art of anesthesia for cosmetic procedures, with each case being tailored to that particular patient’s needs. Your anesthesiologist will contact you a day before the procedure for a thorough consultation, and to answer any questions or concerns you may have. Patients will be optimized for surgery in this setting, and every effort will be made for a smooth course. Consistent staff also ensures that all members are comfortable working together, and decisions are made in concert.
SURGICAL STAFF
Our surgical suite employs only the highest skilled surgical technicians and trained nurses. All members are certified in life support, and have extensive experience in the private setting. This ensures excellent preparation of the facilities, and a smooth intraoperative course.
